How did Jake Paul's mother die? "Well, it's an unsolved murder but, based on the police report, it certainly
looks like she was shot by her ex-boyfriend. Listen to the words to my song Hollow to get the full story."
What
musical influences guide your song writing? "Believe it or not, I'm mostly influenced by Jack Johnson. But
my past has been painted with crazy events regarding drama, murder, violence, and struggle. Jack Johnson is what I listen
to when I need to get re-centered. Other than Jack, I love Jerry Garcia, Phish, Citizen Cope, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan,
Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Sublime, and Alice In Chains."
What advice can you give to other up-and-coming artists?
"Many talented artists sink because they have been lead to believe that if they make a hit song, it will 'take care of
itself.' The truth is, if you want to succeed, then you have to put WORK first...partying doesn't come first...nor does dreaming...drugging....drinking....or
whatever. You have to be willing to WORK!!! That means that you have to get up in the morning and ask yourself,
'what can I do today to improve my business (a.k.a. my music career)?' Then get up and MAKE IT HAPPEN."

What is one of your most memorable musical moments? "Usually on stage I'm smiling because I find it SUPER funny
to watch us perform. Everyone is 'dialed in' and trying to focus, yet we're are totally buzzed from the hype and energy
of the crowd. So I find it funny to watch another band member try to wrestle down their mind's desire to wander off
into outerspace. That is my most memorable moment because it happens all the time!
If you
could rub a magic lantern and have the genie grant you any wish in regard to your band, what would it be?
"I would wish that the genie could teleport us anywhere at any given time so that we would stop being so damn late to
everywhere."

When it comes to performing and making music, what is your number 1 goal? "I want poeple to listen in and
say, 'I really like what I hear.' I hate it when people are foreced to work a job that they can't stand. It hurts
them, it hurts me, and it doesn't do any good for our society when people are stuck in a job that they can't stand.
I hope my music helps people get away from all of that."
